I build cues out of spalted/stabilized PA hardwoods, live edge, and burl. All of my cues have cores. Most are full cores. Each cue page specifies the core material and whether it is full or partial.

All cues hang at least 6 months, being reduced in diameter each month, before entering the finishing process.

Newest on the top. The cues toward the bottom have been hanging long enough to enter the finishing rotation in my next available slot. Each cue’s product page will tell you its earliest finishing date.

During the finishing process, I turn the cue to its final size, drill/tap for a weight bolt, bore for the bumper, install the pin and finish the cue. 

Purchasing a cue before it enters the finishing rotation enables you to specify the pin, collar diameter, weight (if possible), and add a bumper with an extension insert if you also buy an extension. 

I’m happy if you purchase a butt to match a shaft you already love.

I’m also happy if you buy a Character Cues shaft. Choose from carbon fiber, maple, ash, birch, walnut, cherry, white oak, black locust, hickory, purple heart, or sassafras.
