Buffed to 3000 (grit). Nice shine, but we’re shooting for out of this world shine. I’ll buffed to 10000 grit before waxing.

Dennis’s Stick: Almost there. The butt is 99% finished. I’m letting the wax firm up before buffing out. The shaft is complete, but an experiment I haven’t revealed will either look awesome or I’ll do another shaft. Purple Object Ball Eater: This is where Dennis’ stick was yesterday. First coat on, second to come in an hour. Then 48 hours to cure before sanding, then CA glue, then oohs and aahs. Updated: 3 coats for Caribbean. I wanted it to look deeeeep. A lot of epoxy comes off sanding it down so it’s a perfect cylinder. Uh… Cone. Long coney cylinder thingamabob. #Wordsmith […]
This is rapidly becoming a favorite. I love the boldness of the colors and grain patters, specifically in the “pinkle” sections on either side of purple rings that border the beech center. The pinkle sections are birch and they contain a speckle that’s really unique. The photo that goes with the post is a close […]
