This is rapidly becoming a favorite. I love the boldness of the colors and grain patters, specifically in the “pinkle” sections on either side of purple rings that border the beech center. The pinkle sections are birch and they contain a speckle that’s really unique.

The photo that goes with the post is a close up of the center. The beech had pockets the stabilizing resin didn’t fill, due to their size. I filled those with epoxy with mica in it to create an echo of the main color theme, and I’m loving how it turned out.

After 48 hours rest, this’ll be sanded round again, then I’ll apply 15 coats of CA glue for the finish.
