The surface has a very precise and smooth nature punctuated by areas of porousness, where the resin and dye were thickest, but unable to fill the pore. Now sanded open, it’ll eventually be filled by epoxy.

The question for this stick: I know it would have a buyer if I added more dye to the surface.

Instead, I love the contrast between the white, purple, and blues that work through.

I think this one is going to finish as is. Wet sand to 4k, then after a period of drying, 2 coats of epoxy and 15 of CA glue.
