I took the video while the epoxy was very wet. After it set up a bit more, I worked it back into the pores better. Eventually they all get filled — but let’s be honest. The reason there’s a hole there at all is to satisfy the natural order of things.
Basically, the universe is against the cuemaker’s effort to fill holes, scorns him, rejects his efforts at every turn.
It isn’t as bad as all that. But filling holes is always best done early. Nothing sux more than discovering a pocket after you’re deep in the finishing process. That should never happen, but it does.
