An experiment in beautiful.
The wood is spalted maple (stabilized). The thin black lines are from the wood. The rest is dye.
First a deep coat of orange, then many layers of different reds. The last red was supposed to be wine, but it didn’t give the effect I wanted, so I added blue to get that murder-victim purple look.
I’m a fiction writer. Weird is my bailiwick.
