Stick 117: I’d Like to Meet a Quark

Stick 117: I’d Like to Meet a Quark

Auction is for BUTT, Osage Orange BREAK SHAFT, and 2 joint protectors.

I have chosen the father in the text below as the beneficiary of the auction. He loves his son. He will direct the proceeds to their best use.

A couple’s son from church here in Dubois was in a horrific motorcycle accident in Florida in April. A car T-boned him, never seeing him.

The driver did not have a license and no car insurance. Their son has no medical insurance since he had just started a new job.

He suffered a broken jaw and multiple other broken bones. The surgeon never expected him to survive.

At their first sit down meeting, the doctor just stared at their son, confessing that he never expected to have this conversation with him. His jaw was wired shut and 6 weeks before they expected to take the wires out he was already healed. Two of the surgeons zeroed out his bills, Since he was in intensive care, the bill could still be astronomical.

The father is a self-employed contractor and has taken off work to go down and be with his son through this ordeal.
