Thank you! It’s fun, each day, getting to handle such interesting grain patterns and colors. And I finally am set up so I can maintain good air quality at each stage of the build, even finishing. So I’m finally starting to feel settled in. Next up…. leather wraps.

A dumb question, I know, but, are these walking sticks or just to look at sticks? They’re beautiful, for sure. Are you still writing, too? Love your books, as you know!!!

Hello Clayton, good to see, hear and watch you work wood. I’ve been into woodworking for years but nothing like you are doing. My question is… and maybe if it all makes sense you could put together a “background history” for your viewing audience and not have to take the time to answer me. So… how did you learn this skill of cue stick creation? To get to a point where your sticks are quality high end seemingly from the get go, how did you get so good at it? How did you learn all that shit that you’ve given a glimpse of? Did you have a mentor? Also the glimpses are just parts of the total process. I would like to know more of the steps start to finish and again how you gained the skill? No crooked splintered failures along the way. I guess what I’m suggesting is you share more of your whole story. You are a story teller and me personally am fascinated. Of course you may be thinking hey Bob I got work to do here and don’t have time. But I figured if nothing else maybe just a quick blurb about what got you to a point of producing beautiful $1000 cue sticks.
Anyway just a friday afternoon ramble to let you know someone’s watching with interest.

Thank you. My goal is to do a lot more videos that show parts of the build as they occur. So much about building them is fun. Such a creative outlet. There isn’t a lot of beauty coming at me from the world at large, through my many screens. But step into the shop and it’s color and God’s beauty everywhere.
