Love this one! How do these sticks play? Are you still making them longer than a standard stick, and are you still turning your own shafts, too?

Yes, I’m turning ing maple and purple heart shafts. I can custom size a stick between 50 and 62 inches, or more, by request before a stick build. After the glue, I can only increase or decrease an inch or so. Most sticks are 58 or 59, by default.
I don’t know how to describe the play. Between maple, purple heart, and carbon fiber shafts, and 5 different tips, 3 ferrules, the play varies. That said, I’ve been using sticks 10 and 4 as demos, and they feel exceptionally balanced and deft to me. The hit delivers with authority whether light or hard. Feedback in the hand is crisp, not fuzzy.
Using the carbon fiber shaft in particular, I’m able to summon wild strains of English. I can curve a ball around others with ease, albeit little accuracy. Just isn’t a shot I go to very often. Drawing the length of the table is no problem, and I find it easier to get hard topspin to bite the cueball than with other sticks I’ve used.
Dennis W has played with his (Stick #3) a lot. I don’t think he’s lost a league game with it yet. He’s probably shot more than I have with my sticks at this point. He posted about his satisfaction with the stick. What I need to do is take some video and put up a page showing a stick connecting for some different shots….
